Located in Islington, this project involved the design of a below-ground one-bedroom apartment within a Victorian conversion, maximising natural light to create a sense of spaciousness despite a limited underground setting.
Careful attention was paid to material selection, bespoke joinery, and spatial configuration to enhance comfort, functionality, and contemporary design while respecting the existing character of the historic building.
Spatial configuration focused on ensuring that the apartment felt open and inviting despite its below-ground location, marrying light, period elements, and modern interventions to produce a harmonious and practical living space.
